Douglas Barcroft (February 2010 – present)

Senior Pastor

Our current Senior Pastor is Doug Barcroft. Doug is a native Memphian. He graduated from Kingsbury High School in 1976. He holds Bachelor and Master degrees in nursing from the University of Tennessee College of Nursing. He also earned his Master of Divinity degree from the Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary in 1987. From 1984 to 1994, he served as the pastor for three different Southern Baptist churches in the Mid-South. In October of 2000, he transferred his ministerial credentials to the Presbyterian Church in America. He served St. Andrews, PCA as an associate pastor from 2000 to 2008. Hickory Withe PCA called him in February 2010  as an associate pastor. And, in the Fall of 2011, the congregation at Hickory Withe called him as their new senior pastor. For much of his ministry, Doug has worked bivocationally as a nurse practitioner. But, currently, he serves full-time as the pastor of Hickory Withe.

Doug was raised in the Macon Road Presbyterian Church in Memphis, Tennessee. He came to faith in Christ during his junior year of college through the ministry of Central Baptist Church in Martin, Tennessee. He met Lynn Hosse in the Fall of 1979 at the University of Tennessee at Martin and they were married in August of 1981. Lynn and Doug have three children – Benjamin Douglas, Sarah Grace, and Charley Kate. Benjamin currently resides in San Antonio, Texas. He is employed as an aircraft mechanic with Boeing. Sarah Grace is married to Peter Castillo., They have one child, Sophie Lynn. Charley Kate currently lives at home. She graduated from Union University in May of 2022. She works for Pink Ribbons; a Mastectomy and Lymphedema Boutique.

Terry Himebook

Music Director

Born in Canada, raised in Kansas, graduated from high school in Michigan, married in Georgia and an alumni of Covenant College above Chattanooga, Tennessee, Terry Himebook has seen a lot of the Midwest and the Southeast. In his career, he has served as a Christian school music teacher (band, choir & elementary classes) for ten years and as a church Music Director for over twenty years, serving churches in Alabama, Georgia and Tennessee. Terry served as Music Director at Riveroaks Reformed Presbyterian Church in Germantown from July of 2009 until June 2018 before accepting the position of Music Director at historic HWPC.

Terry is married to Ruth and has four children, Terry II, Philip, Peter and Mary Love. When he is not leading, writing, arranging, rehearsing, teaching or performing music, Terry can usually be found either in his vegetable garden or playing with his grandchildren.
