Men’s Prayer Ministry

The men of Hickory Withe Presbyterian Church meet for prayer the first Saturday of every month at 7:00 AM. A delicious breakfast is served, Pastor Doug leads a brief devotional, and the men assemble in small groups in order to pray. We try to be finished by 8:15. First Timothy 2:1-2 provides the basis for our prayer ministry – “First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions…” We pray for the needs of our church, for churches in our area, for our community leaders and for our nation. Please join us for this vital ministry in the life of our church.

Men’s Bible Study

Beginning May 3, 2026, the men will meet at 4 p.m. for our Sunday afternoon Bible study. We will study The Christian Life by Sinclair B. Ferguson.
Christian doctrine matters for Christian living. This is ‘one of the most important growth points of the Christian life’, writes Sinclair B. Ferguson. From this starting point, The Christian Life expounds such key biblical themes as grace, faith, repentance, new birth and assurance with clarity and contagious enthusiasm. ‘Christian doctrines are life-shaping’, explains the author, because ‘they show us the God we worship’.
All men are encouraged to join in this study to help in our walk with Christ.
Location: Fellowship Hall
Time: 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.
