The sermon on Sunday, August 2, 2026, will be from Revelation 15:1-8 – Who Will Not Fear?.  “For you alone are holy.” – Revelation 15:4

On January 1, 1985, Dr. R. C. Sproul rocked the evangelical world with a book by the title The Holiness of God. In 1986, he released a video teaching series by the same title. Dr. Sproul emphasized the importance of God’s holiness. It is God’s defining attribute, but it is an attribute the Church and the world perpetually forgets. Dr. Sproul’s observation was unforgettable. Basing his comments on Isaiah 6:3, he said, “You will never find the Bible saying that God is ‘love, love, love,’ but we do find the Scriptures saying that he is ‘holy, holy, holy.’” Has this attribute of God humbled you and me? Have verses like Revelation 15:4 and Isaiah 6:3 rocked our worlds? When we are humbled, we will see our unholiness and our sin; and we will turn to Christ in faith. He is the only one who can heal the spiritual wound inflicted by a clear view of God’s holy character.
