The sermon on Sunday, August 9, 2026, will be from Revelation 16:1-20- Seven Bowls of Perfect Judgments. “Go and pour out on the earth the seven bowls of the wrath of God.” – Revelation 16:1

Once, I heard a minister say, “God’s Word reveals and it also conceals.” He meant that God uses his written Word to reveal his character, our sinfulness, and the way of salvation. But he also meant that some concepts in the Bible defy description. Words are incapable of fully revealing certain realities. For instance, regarding heaven, Paul states in 1 Corinthians 2:9, “What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him.” However, indescribable horrors await those who do not know Christ. Psalm 90:11 reads, “Who considers the power of your anger, and your wrath according to the fear of you?” Jeremiah states (10:10), “But the Lord is the true God; he is the living God and the everlasting King. At his wrath the earth quakes, and the nations cannot endure his indignation.” The final book of the Bible puts an exclamation point on this doctrine. In Christ, refuge is found.
