The sermon on Sunday, July 19, 2026, will be from Revelation 14:14-20 – “The Final Trampling of the Vintage” “… and behold, a white cloud, and seated on the cloud one like a son of man, …” – Revelation 14:14

One phrase in Revelation 14:14 should make any Bible student sit up and take notice, and that phrase is “one like a son of man.” Students of the Gospels know that this phrase was Jesus’s favorite self-designation. He told wee, little Zacchaeus, “The Son of Man came to seek and save that which was lost.” (Luke 19:10). The phrase certainly asserts our Lord’s humanity. But it also draws attention to his divinity. In Daniel (7:13-14), “one like a son of man, … was given dominion and glory and a kingdom, that all peoples, nations, and languages should serve him; his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom one that shall not be destroyed.” Life’s greatest privilege is to live for and to serve the Son of Man.
