The sermon on Sunday, July 12, 2026, will be from Revelation 14:6-13 – The Day on Which Our Deeds Will Follow Us “… it deceives those who dwell on the earth …” “… I saw another angel flying directly overhead, with an eternal gospel to proclaim …” – Revelation 14:6

The Revelation of Jesus Christ is composed of “7 cycles” which underscore several themes related to the history of the world. First, God the Father and his Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, are sovereign over the events of world history. They are “working all things after the counsel of their will.” (Eph. 1:11). Furthermore, they are accomplishing their eternal purpose, they are building the Christian church; and, Christ said, “the gates of hell will not prevail against it.” (Matt. 16:18). So, the question logically follows, “How does the Triune God accomplish his eternal purpose?” He does it through gospel proclamation. If you know Christ, join with this angel and proclaim the excellencies of him who has called us out of darkness into his marvelous light. (1 Pet. 2:9)
