
Douglas Barcroft (February 2010 – present)
Senior Pastor
Our current Senior Pastor is Doug Barcroft. Doug is a native Memphian. He graduated from Kingsbury High School in 1976. He holds Bachelor and Master degrees in nursing from the University of Tennessee College of Nursing. He also earned his Master of Divinity degree from the Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary in 1987. From 1984 to 1994, he served as the pastor for three different Southern Baptist churches in the Mid-South. In October of 2000, he transferred his ministerial credentials to the Presbyterian Church in America. He served St. Andrews, PCA as an associate pastor from 2000 to 2008. Hickory Withe PCA called him in February 2010 as an associate pastor. And, in the Fall of 2011, the congregation at Hickory Withe called him as their new senior pastor. For much of his ministry, Doug has worked bivocationally as a nurse practitioner. But, currently, he serves full-time as the pastor of Hickory Withe.
Doug was raised in the Macon Road Presbyterian Church in Memphis, Tennessee. He came to faith in Christ during his junior year of college through the ministry of Central Baptist Church in Martin, Tennessee. He met Lynn Hosse in the Fall of 1979 at the University of Tennessee at Martin and they were married in August of 1981. Lynn and Doug have three children – Benjamin Douglas, Sarah Grace, and Charley Kate. Benjamin currently resides in St Louis, Missouri. He is employed as an aircraft mechanic with Boeing. Sarah Grace is married to Peter Castillo., They have one child, Sophie Lynn. Charley Kate lives in Memphis. She graduated from Union University in May of 2022. She works for Pink Ribbons; a Mastectomy and Lymphedema Boutique.

Joe M. Turner (January 2025-present)
Pianist and Music Director
Joe, a native Mississippian, was baptized in 1978 in Jackson and grew up in Brandon. At Mississippi State University he earned a B.S. in physics/chemistry education (summa cum laude) and most of another degree in theatre. He was a performer, pianist, and/or music director for numerous productions on campus and around the country.
After moving to Atlanta in 1993, Joe attended First Baptist Church of Tucker and was their pianist for several years. He was later a pianist/keyboardist at Burnt Hickory Baptist Church (Powder Springs). Most recently he served as pianist at Grace Covenant Church (PCA) in Dallas, Georgia. He enjoys composing special music for the churches he serves.
Joe has been a full-time corporate speaker and entertainer since October 2000. His profession has taken him to fifty countries on six continents.
Joe met Rosemary in 1992 at Mississippi State and they were married in 1995 in Germantown. She has a B.S. (cum laude) in civil engineering from MSU and an M.S. in environmental engineering from Georgia Tech, but her calling was to be a mom and a dance teacher. She has taught ballet and other forms of dance in various arts ministries and studios for over 25 years.
Joe and Rosemary moved to Somerville in 2024. They have two grown children. Hayley and her husband Christopher live in Georgia. Preston is majoring in music at the University of Tennessee.
